Privacy Policy

We keep this simple: we collect only what we need to send you the newsletter and run the site, we never sell your data, and you can leave at any time.

Last updated: 28 September 2026

1. Who we are

AI Noizmakr (“AI Noizmakr”, “we”, “us”) is an independent AI news publication based in the United Kingdom. We publish news, explainers and tutorials at ainoizmakr.com (the “Site”) and send a free weekly email newsletter.

We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. We handle it in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). If you are in the European Economic Area, we apply the same standards under the EU GDPR.

Questions about privacy? Email hello@ainoizmakr.com.

2. What we collect

We only collect personal data in the situations below. We do not run advertising trackers or build profiles about you.

Newsletter sign-up

When you subscribe on the Home or Newsletter page, we collect your email address. Our email platform may also record the date and time you subscribed, the page you signed up from, and basic engagement data such as whether an issue was delivered, opened or a link was clicked. We use this to deliver the newsletter and understand which stories are useful.

Comments

If you comment on an article, we collect the name, email address and (optionally) website you enter, your comment, and your IP address and browser user-agent to help detect spam. Your name, website and comment are shown publicly; your email address is never published.

An anonymised string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be sent to the Gravatar service (operated by Automattic Inc.) to check whether you have a profile picture to display next to your comment. Gravatar’s privacy policy is at automattic.com/privacy.

Emails you send us

If you email hello@, tips@ or partners@ainoizmakr.com, we receive your email address, name (if included) and whatever you choose to tell us, including story tips, corrections or partnership details.

Site search

If you use the search box, we process your search term to show results. We do not link searches to your identity.

Technical data

Like almost every website, our hosting servers automatically log basic technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the referring page and the date and time. We use these logs to keep the Site secure and working, not to identify you.

Fonts

The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser information. See Google’s privacy policy.

Embedded content

Articles may include embedded content (for example videos or posts from YouTube, X or LinkedIn). Embedded content behaves as if you visited that website directly, and the provider may collect data about you and set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

3. How and why we use your data

We only use personal data when we have a lawful basis to do so:

Purpose Data Lawful basis
Sending the weekly newsletter and occasional special editions Email address, sign-up record Consent — you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link
Measuring newsletter delivery and engagement Delivery, open and click data Legitimate interests — improving what we publish
Telling subscribers about new features (such as the tools directory or community) Email address Consent, as part of your subscription
Publishing and moderating comments Name, email, website, comment, IP address, user-agent Legitimate interests — running a safe, spam-free discussion
Replying to tips, questions and partnership enquiries Your email and message Legitimate interests; or steps before a contract for partnerships
Keeping the Site secure and running Server logs, IP address Legitimate interests — security and fraud prevention
Meeting legal obligations Any relevant records Legal obligation

We never sell or rent your personal data, and we never share your email address with advertisers or sponsors. Sponsors of the newsletter only receive aggregated, non-identifying figures such as total subscribers or clicks.

4. Cookies

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The Site only uses a small number of cookies that WordPress sets for the Site to function:

Cookie Purpose Duration
comment_author_* Remembers your name, email and website if you tick “Save my name…” when commenting, so you don’t need to retype them 1 year
wordpress_test_cookie Checks whether your browser accepts cookies (log-in page only) Session
wordpress_*, wordpress_logged_in_*, wp-settings-* Keep site editors logged in and remember their dashboard settings. Only set for people who log in to manage the Site Session – 1 year

These are strictly necessary or set only at your request, so they don’t require a consent banner under PECR. Links in our emails may include tracking so we can see which stories are clicked. If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may stop comment details being remembered.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions:

  • Website hosting provider — stores the Site, its database (including comments) and server logs.
  • Email newsletter platform — stores subscriber email addresses and sends the newsletter.
  • Email and productivity provider — handles messages sent to our @ainoizmakr.com addresses.
  • Google Fonts (Google LLC) and Gravatar (Automattic Inc.) — as described above.

We may also disclose data if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of AI Noizmakr (in which case this policy will continue to apply).

6. International transfers

Some of our providers are based in, or store data in, the United States or other countries outside the UK. Where that happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations (including the UK–US Data Bridge), the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep it

  • Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep your email on a suppression list only, so you are not re-added by mistake.
  • Comments: kept for as long as the article is published, unless you ask us to remove them. Comments marked as spam are deleted automatically after a short period.
  • Emails to us: up to 2 years after our last exchange, unless needed longer for an ongoing partnership or legal reason.
  • Server logs: a short period set by our hosting provider, typically no more than 90 days.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”);
  • Restrict or object to how we use it, including objecting to anything based on legitimate interests;
  • Portability — receive your data in a common, machine-readable format;
  • Withdraw consent at any time — for the newsletter, just click “unsubscribe” in any email.

To use any of these rights, email hello@ainoizmakr.com. We will respond within one month and there is normally no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, or to your local data protection authority.

9. Security

We use HTTPS across the Site, keep our software up to date, restrict admin access, and choose providers with strong security practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and will act promptly if something goes wrong.

10. Children

AI Noizmakr is written for adults and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has subscribed or commented, contact us and we will delete the data.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when we add new features (such as the AI tools directory, member community or workshops) or change how we handle data. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. For significant changes we will tell subscribers in the newsletter.

12. Contact us

For anything about privacy or your data, email hello@ainoizmakr.com. See also our Terms of Use.
